This one... more » Richmond University Medical Center has immediate openings for 3 Research Fellows in the obstetrics and gynecology department. This one to two-year fellowship is designed to train clinicians and clinician-scientists in the fundamentals of clinical trials and translational research while simultaneously advancing the Hospital's mission of studying and using evidence-based practices to benefit its patient population. The fellowship is funded under the auspices of the Empire Clinical Research Incentive Program (ECRIP). The fellowship will provide a rigorous, high quality, research training experience. Fellows will conduct clinical trials and translational-based research projects in Richmond University Medical Center on Staten Island in New York City. Fellows will be based in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, however they will be expected to function as members of a multi-disciplinary team by working closely with other research divisions from the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology, Histopathology, and Pharmacology. Candidates should have a proven interest in research, with evidence of previous research or research training. Fellows will be working in both research and clinical settings and therefore must have exceptional organizational skills and be able to coordinate well with clinic staff, research staff, residents, medical students, and other fellows. Each fellow is assigned a mentor who will provide guidance in research methodology and project management.
